The snap election was a surprise to everyone. Now it's only a few weeks away and the country has a decision to make.
'For better or for worse' has gone through the main party manifestos to see how they have addressed, if at all, LGBT issues, to help you out when it comes to June 8th...

The Conservative Party Manifesto: In our search of the manifesto booklet none of the key words relating to same-sex relationships, marriage, civil partnership and LGBT issues came up. The Tories have not addressed any of these things in their manifesto for the 2017 election.
The Green Party Manifesto: Not yet launched
UKIP Manifesto: Not yet launched
The Labour Party Manifesto: When we searched the manifesto for anything relating to marriage their support for the Forced Marriage Unit was the only point addressed. However, they do have a full page dedicated to 'LGBT Equality' (PG.111). They remind us that they "created civil partnerships, and it was only through Labour votes that equal marriage became law." However, there is no mention of a potential change to civil partnership laws.
The Liberal Democrats Manifesto: The Lib Dems state they have a "comprehensive strategy for promoting the decriminalisation of homosexuality around the world and advancing the cause of LGBT+ rights" but do not state any details of this strategy.
